Core Aims & Beliefs
At OXN, our aim is to help our patients recover from injury and regain their strength and mobility so that they move better and can participate in physical activity pain-free.
You could be a professional athlete returning to sport, a recreational runner, or an elderly patient who enjoys gardening – no matter your previous level of activity, we are able to individualise our treatment plans to support you in your recovery.
Injury Assessment
An initial consultation will offer an in-depth assessment where you will be asked questions about your injury and lifestyle to try and gain a full history of your present condition. Your assessment will also include joint-specific movement testing to help form an appropriate diagnosis that will guide your ongoing care.

Treatment
As part of your treatment, we will offer advice and education about your injury as well as using hands-on manual therapy techniques to produce beneficial short-term changes such as pain relief or increased joint range of motion. We may also use therapeutic treatment adjuncts such as instrument assisted soft tissue mobilisation or myofascial cupping to aid healing.

Exercise Rehabilitation
We believe that exercise rehabilitation is the most important means of achieving positive long-term outcomes after injury. Therefore, we aim to make you stronger and move more efficiently in a safe manner through selecting exercises and using rehabilitation tools that will help you progress to full function. At key points throughout your rehabilitation journey, we will make use of functional tests to measure your performance and provide important objective milestones for you to strive towards.
There is no quick fix after injury, but if you follow a plan with patience, consistency and a positive mindset, full function can be restored.
