Frequently Asked Questions:

Q. What happens in a typical appointment?

A typical appointment follows a sequence of assessment, treatment and rehabilitation with a clear plan set out to help you reach your goals. After your appointment, you will be sent a follow-up email containing videos of exercises that aim to support you in achieving your goals. In between sessions, you will have access to ongoing support and are able to get in touch if you need further advice and guidance.

Q. How will I feel after my appointment?

In most cases, you will feel perfectly normal and will have a greater understanding of your injury/condition and how to manage it. On some occasions, you may feel slightly sore if you have worked areas of the body more than they are used to working. Also, if you have received lots of manual therapy and hands-on treatment, the area treated may be quite sensitive – don’t panic, this is likely to desensitise over the next couple of days. Please contact me if you have any worries about anything after your appointment.

Q. What payment methods do you accept?

You are able to pay by card or cash.

Q. How long is my appointment?
  • Initial assessment – up to 1 hour

  • Follow-up treatment/rehabilitation – 45 minutes

  • Sports massage – 40 minutes

Q. What should I wear to my appointment?

Please wear clothes that are loose-fitting and easy to move in. If your problem is from the hip down, a pair of shorts would be ideal. If you have a shoulder problem, a sports top or vest would be ideal so that the relevant joint is accessible.

Q. Is there parking available?

Yes – free parking is available at the car park opposite the clinic.

Q. Do I have to use any steps?

There is one small step into the clinic.

Q. Do I have to bring anything with me?
